I like Tic Toc Alarm Clock and Dinky. Loads of the others were ace too though so I'll probably like different ones tommorow.

Vertigo (which has became one of my favourite songs), Action, Replay Replay, Dinky, Electro Gazelle, Horse Drawn and Quartered (what the fuck is Matt singing?) were all great songs, Cable never had filler and their singles were almost like 4 track E.P?s.

I tryed my hardest to think of one and kept changing my answer. So all of the above. Trying to decide on the best of anything by Cable is tricky. Depends on what your in the mood for.

Dinky... It's a classic. Although my sister 'borrowed' my copy of God Gave Me Gravity and it's scratched to hell....

Dinky is my all time favourite b-side, criminal we never made it a single in it's own right.
We once opened a london show with Horse Drawn and Quartered, at the 100club on Oxford St - 20 years to the day that the Pistols and The Banshees had played there, so we thought we'd give the all out punk attack. Unfortunately it utterly stiffed to the pofaced britpop loving journo crowd of 1996 and thus the gig was ruined from the off. Terrible show it was - even the label said 'did you have to open with that?' Of course we did, with chorus that goes 'death to Alan McGee' over and over, how could we not? :)

have to agree with BoxOfSlice on that one... 'Deadwood For Green' is the best B-Side, and one of my top 3 Cable songs in general. Also a big fan of 'Apparently' off of the 'Bluebirds' CD.

I'd have to say my favorite Cable b-sides (top 3) are:  Give Em' What They Want, Deadwood For Green, & Horse Drawn And Quartered.

Has anyone ever listened to Murdering Spree Elevated the entire way through?

Only once, during the recording of it. :)
It was a bit silly of us, wasn't it? We'd heard that the legal limit for a single is something like 22 minutes, so we made it so that the 'music' on that single added up to 21.59 or whatever it was - I think we had the vague idea we might end up in the music press in a legal wrangle with the BPI or summat daft - fight the power...or something! :D
