Hi, I absolutely love Cable but somehow have only just found this site and can't believe it! I have all the albums and singles that were officially released but haven't got any of the demos, sessions, live stuff, etc and would love to have them. Please please please can anyone reading this with any of the demos, sessions, live stuff, etc email me at marcus.weston@sky.com. I will be happy to send SAE's and blank CD's. Please please please. I actually remember seeing this particular issue of Select, but i didnt buy it becasue i thought i already had the track. Then i realised a while later i didnt and couldnt find a copy of the mag anywhere. I just heard it for the first time yesterday when i downloaded it and it was refreshing to hear a 'new' cable song i hadnt heard before! This is kinda what i just said in my lost past i think.

Me too I'm afraid! I'm a long-time Cable fan and my best mate has been into them for way longer than I. Neither of us have anything rarer than the promo CDs for some of the singles though :(

Hello there, Im sure most people are sick of hearing this now but here goes -
I was a big Cable fan back in the day, bunked off school to make sure me and a mate got to the last gig at Dingwalls. Re-listen to the albums every year to confirm my belief that there is no band that has come close to what they were doing since the split (so far..... nothing). Have only just discovered this site and christ knows how i've missed all the goings on here for the last 5 years. Has been an enjoyable read through the last 5 pages of comments. Here comes a big BUT tho.......
BUT...... I too don't have any other recordings apart from the albums. Can any kind soul reading this who might be able to hook another cable brother with some rare / peel sessions / live stuff type stuff get in touch?

I might look into uploading all the live shows, studio demos and other rarities using mediafire or something so everyone can download al these lost tracks easily and quickly

The only unreleased track I really really want is 'Midget'. Amazing track!
If anyone has this please could they send it to me.
Demon very kindly sent it to me once and then a year later my PC ate it. Luckily I use Mac now and this doesn't happen but I lost the track!

Damon, I've found a few of these on the forum, but they are all pretty low quality 192kbps MP3s... Am I correct in guessing that you actually have the analogue originals? If you can encode them as 320kbps mp3 files I'll happily provide you with a permanent server space on which to keep the demos, peel sessions and other unreleased material. You can then put up the links on the main page of your site.
