Did Cable support Blur?!

Many years ago, I think it was 1997, I saw Blur with Super Furry Animals in support at Brixton Academy - we arrived late and missed the first support band, however I remember many people adorning the Cable drum + bass shirts...

Would someone confirm my worst nightmares? Did I miss Cable?!

Interesting question, i don't ever remember seeing cable on the same bill as blur but you never know!  I do remember the furries supporting them around then though.

They supported Reef I believe.

Yes they supported Reef and I think Bush and Ash and A.

I saw Cable open for A so i can vouch for that one and i know that they were meant to be going off to tour with Bush as openers but the break up happened. No idea if they toured with Blur though.

I was at the Reading festival what ever year Cable played and i only found out they were even there once i got home ... which was shit!
